Tent Camping:
In India, camping is still not as popular as other form of vacationing. At Green Acres you get the opportunity of camping in real sense not air conditioned or concrete tents. Here you stay in a tent in wilderness, under the open sky and trees and bushes around you.
With its controlled environment, Green Acres presents a perfect setting for first timers. They can get a real life experience of camping, learn about the survival methods amidst wildlife
and things to remember while doing the same.
The camp coordinator at the farm will guide of the area, life in night and almost everything related to camping. Visitors can choose from various kinds of tents based on their requirements.
The tents are with detachable rainflies and their windows have flaps which allow eco-tourists to star gaze while it keep the insects and flies out.
There are also facility of bonfires and barbecue at the farm.
Nature Walks:
Nature walks at the farm are also quite refreshing with cool breeze caressing you and soothing rays of morning sun. Having a walk on the nature trails as you spot some wildlife and exotic flora is something you won’t experience in cities. You can spot peacocks, snakes, monitor lizards along with various kinds of birds and butterflies. The atmosphere is quite pleasant early in morning for nature walks.
Rock Climbing and Hiking:
The farm enjoys a good location which further adds to the option for activities that one can while holidaying here. At the nearby Raigir Hills, visitors can go for rock climbing. The rocky treks here provide for good photographic opportunities and doesn't require any gear to support climbing.
Bird watching:
Bird watcher will have some good moments at the farm spotting various kinds of birds who visit Green Acres once in a while. One can also spot various kinds of butterflies at the farm. There are close to 11 different kinds of butterflies that can be seen here.
Games:
Visitors can engage themselves in various kinds of games as well. With huge expanse of open area and pleasant natural setting, Green Acres makes for a perfect site for different outdoor activities. Badminton, Hunt for Treasure for children are few of these.
Farm Tour & Fieldwork:
Visitors are also offered with an educational tour of the farm where they can learn more
about organic farming and Agro-forestry as well as other good practices of agriculture.
During the farming season, if interested visitors can also take part in as weeding, trenching, digging and tree planting.
